The House of Passal – “Vila de São Cristóvão”, was the residence of Aristides de Sousa Mendes located in Quinta de São Cristóvão, in the parish of Cabanas de Viriato, municipality of Carregal do Sal. It is a palace that stands out not only for the eclecticism of architecture and for the grandeur of the main frontage, but mainly for the memory of the consul who inhabited it and sacrificed personal interests in favor of the refugees of the holocaust (English)
