The aim of the project “Development of alternative transit route for TEN-T network in Ventspils” (Project) is to prevent a breakdown of high-quality transport infrastructure in Ventspils city and create an alternative route for transit and cargo transport by at least partially separating it from public transport streams and diverting from densely populated sections of Ventspils city.The project includes 0.3873 km Small Kurzemes street, 2.3363 km Border street rebuilding from I.Mičurina street to a water control section of the riverside section. Projekta “Alternatīva tranzītmaršruta izveide TEN-T tīklam Ventspilī” (Projekts) mērķis ir novērstkvalitatīvas transporta infrastruktūras pārrāvumu Ventspils pilsētā un radīt alternatīvu maršrutu tranzīta unkravas transportam, vismaz daļēji atdalot to no sabiedriskā transporta plūsmām un novirzot no blīvākapdzīvotām Ventspils pilsētas daļām.Projektā iekļauta 0,3873 km Mazās Kurzemes ielas, 2,3363 km Robežu ielas pārbūve posmā no I.Mičurina ielai līdz Packules upes tiltam, 0,802 km Robežu ielas pārbūve posmā no Packules upes tilta līdz Packules ielai, veicot arī ietvju un veloceliņa (Robežu), apgaismojuma, inteliģentās transporta vadības sistēmas elementu un lietus ūdenskanalizācijas izbūvi. Paredzēta rotācijas apļa izbūve Mazās Kurzemes un Kurzemes ielu krustojumā.Kopējās un attiecināmās Projekta izmaksas 6 323 774,78 EUR. Plānots, ka 85% no attiecināmajāmizmaksām, jeb 5 375 208,56 EUR segs Kohēzijas fonds (KF), 758 852,97 EUR jeb 12% nodrošinās Ventspils pilsētas pašvaldība, bet valsts budžeta dotācija veido 3% no attiecināmajām izmaksām jeb 189 713,25 EUR.Projektu plānots ieviest no 2017. gada 14. jūlija līdz 2020. gada 31.decembrim.Projekta ieviešanu nodrošinās Ventspils pilsētas pašvaldības iestāde „Komunālā pārvalde” (PI “Komunālāpārvalde”).Projekta sociāli-ekonomiskā ienesīguma norma (ERR/C) ir 14,93%, kas apliecina Projekta kopējoizdevīgumu sabiedrībai kopumā.Visi ielu posmi, kuros plānoti ieguldījumi Projekta ietvaros, ir kravu transporta maršruti un atrodasVentspils pilsētas administratīvajā teritorijā.
