A Execução da ETAR de Seixo de Manhoses III drenará graviticamente os afluentes de 30 % da população de Seixo de Manhosses. Actualmente não existe tratamento para estas águas residuais. Esta ETAR tem como grande objectivo tratar satisfatoriamente parte das águas residuais urbanas de Seixo de Manhoses, dotando a mesma de um sistema satisfatório de tratamento de águas residuais, produzindo-se assim uma mais-valia ambiental e social.
