Project implemented by municipalities of Konin District: Wilczyn, the Old Town, Kleczew, Sompolno and Kazimierz Biskupi, on their territory, rely on the installation of photovoltaic installations on municipal facilities (administrative buildings, schools, cultural sites, water management facilities and others). The implementation of the project will contribute to reducing fossil energy consumption, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing energy security. Photovoltaic (PV) installations are composed of panels that convert solar energy into electricity. The PV installation is a very beneficial solution due to the lack of carbon dioxide emissions and other pollutants into the air. PV installations will be installed mainly on the roofs of existing buildings, or on the ground directly next to the buildings. Installation of 64 installations is foreseen.According to the technical documentation of the project, the average annual electricity yield from 1 kWp installed photovoltaic modules in the municipalities involved in the project varies between 850 and 1100 kWh, with an average value of 1036 kWh/kWp. Municipal facilities are characterised by a large area of roofs, which can be used for the installation of photovoltaic installations. (English)

(Polish)
