Projekt realizowany w formule „zaprojektuj i wybuduj” obejmuje wykonanie instalacji fotowoltaicznych – 3 szt. w celu wytwarzania energii elektrycznej zasilającej budynki użyteczności publicznej oraz 21 szt. kotłów na biomasę na potrzeby zaopatrzenia w energię cieplną budynków mieszkalnych jednorodzinnych. Inwestycja przyczyni się do poprawy efektywności energetycznej obiektów i wzrostu produkcji energii cieplnej i elektrycznej ze źródeł odnawialnych w Gminie Opatów, a w konsekwencji zmniejszenia emisji zanieczyszczeń do atmosfery (w tym: CO2 i pyłu PM10).
