The project will consist of the construction of a geothermal-biomassage heating plant in Sieradz with a capacity of 22 MWt, together with the drilling of the injection hole SIERADZ GT-2. The opening shall be made as directional type “J” with a final depth of approx. 1898 m at an actual vertical final depth of approx. 1525 m ± 10 %. The geothermal heat room will be based on the work of the geothermal double, i.e. two geothermal holes: the Sieradz GT-1 operating hole and the Sieradz GT-2 injection hole. Geothermal water obtained from the Sieradz GT-1 operating hole will be used in two ways: • As a direct heat source for district heating (pre-heating of mains water return) by transferring heat in plate-twisted heat exchangers; heat exchangers will allow to heat the mains water to a maximum of 52 °C, while cooling the geothermal water to approx. 49-50 °C (cooling of the geothermal water will depend on the return mains water temperature and can range from 0 to approx. 5 K); • In the second place, geothermal water will be the lower heat source for heat pumps; it is assumed to use 2 absorption bromolite heat pumps with a heat output of approx. 10 MWt each. Przedsięwzięcie będzie polegać na budowie ciepłowni geotermalno-biomasowej w Sieradzu o mocy 22 MWt wraz z odwierceniem otworu zatłaczającego SIERADZ GT-2. Otwór zostanie wykonany jako kierunkowy typu "J" o głębokości końcowej wynoszącej ok. 1898 m przy rzeczywistej pionowej głębokości końcowej wynoszącej ok. 1525 m +/- 10%. Ciepłownia geotermalna będzie się opierać na pracy dubletu geotermalnego, tj. dwóch otworów geotermalnych: zrealizowanego otworu eksploatacyjnego Sieradz GT-1 oraz projektowanego otworu zatłaczającego Sieradz GT-2. Woda geotermalna pozyskiwana z otworu eksploatacyjnego Sieradz GT-1 będzie wykorzystywana na dwa sposoby: • W pierwszej kolejności jako bezpośrednie źródło ciepła dla systemu ciepłowniczego (wstępne podgrzewanie wody sieciowej powrotnej) poprzez przekazanie ciepła w płytowych skręcanych wymiennikach ciepła; wymienniki ciepła umożliwią podgrzanie wody sieciowej do maksymalnie 52°C, przy jednoczesnym schłodzeniu wody geotermalnej do ok. 49-50°C (schłodzenie wody geotermalnej będzie zależne od temperatury wody sieciowej powrotnej i może wynosić od 0 do ok. 5 K); • W drugiej kolejności woda geotermalna będzie stanowiła dolne źródło ciepła dla pomp ciepła; zakłada się zastosowanie 2 absorpcyjnych bromolitowych pomp ciepła o mocy cieplnej ok. 10 MWt każda.
