Głównym celem projektu jest stworzenie Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowego, poprzez budowę infrastruktury laboratorium oraz zakup aparatury badawczej niezbędnej do przeprowadzenia badań przemysłowych i prac rozwojowych, których finalnym rezultatem będzie innowacyjny produkt – węgiel aktywny o podwyższonych parametrach użytkowych, o światowym poziomie innowacyjności. Powstałe rozwiązanie będzie stanowiło innowacyjność przełomową na skalę międzynarodową. W ramach planowanego projektu nawiązana zostanie współpraca z Jednostkami naukowymi - Instytutem Maszyn Przepływowych w zakresie pirolizy ciągłej i Interdyscyplinarnym Centrum Nowoczesnych Technologii w zakresie aktywacji węgla.
