Constitui um legado arquitetónico e artístico notável, de grande valor patrimonial. Com problemas de conservação no exterior e interior, a igreja foi selecionada para a presente operação, com o objetivo de proporcionar aos visitantes a fruição de toda a riqueza do edifício.
