A operação permite valorizar, consolidar e reabilitar o troço da muralha da cerca abaluartada, a qual faz parte do conjunto arquitetónico do Forte de S. Sebastião, classificado como monumento nacional, e que historicamente ligava o Forte ao Castelo de Castro Marim.
