This project is part of an area of specialisation: DPS — Environmental engineering and metrology for activities with a high level of natural resources. It is also in the field of strategic activities of the DREAM cluster: alternative water and soil treatments (DAS 3); the cluster strongly supports this project. It was labelled by the VEGPOLYS cluster of competitiveness, as it is part of the development of plant properties (filter properties) and the use of environmentally-friendly methods to boost their growth and performance. The STAR ELITE project aims to provide an optimised and innovative phytopurification solution for which the investment, operation and maintenance costs will be significantly lower than those of the other waste water treatment plants used in the targeted targets: — small and medium-sized enterprises up to 5000 equal force, private, such as holiday villages, campsites, and in industry, and in the first place, the agri-food industries, agricultural holdings and in particular wine. Two types of amplification will be provided: application of forced ventilation in the saturated zone in the bottom of the filters and application of bio-increase to reeds in order to promote their growth. The objectives of these innovations are: — to improve the treatment of nitrogen from 30 % to more than 85 % of total nitrogen (better denitrification), (English)
