The project concerns the studies for the maturation of the extension projects of the Landfill of Paros and the work of the composting unit of the Municipality of Paros, which will serve the entire population of the Municipalities of Paros and Antiparos. It includes the preparation of all necessary studies (supportive, environmental, technical studies and tender documents) for the proper implementation of the projects.The aim of the project is the gradual approach to a more sustainable management of solid waste, in order to make the changes needed to achieve the objectives of the European (Directive 98/2008) and the Greek Legislation (Law 4042), and to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of both the National and Regional Plans. Furthermore, with the implementation of the composting plant, the Municipality can avoid/reduce the charge of the special burial charge for waste driven for burial without prior treatment operations. Το έργο αφορά στις μελέτες ωρίμανσης των έργων επέκτασης του Χώρου Υγειονομικής Ταφής (ΧΥΤ) Πάρου και του έργου της μονάδας κομποστοποίησης του Δήμου Πάρου, που θα εξυπηρετούν το σύνολο του πληθυσμού των Δήμων Πάρου και Αντιπάρου. Περιλαμβάνει την εκπόνηση όλων των αναγκαίων μελετών (υποστηρικτικές, περιβαλλοντικές, τεχνικές μελέτες καθώς και τεύχη δημοπράτησης) για την ορθή υλοποίηση των έργων.Σκοπός του έργου είναι η σταδιακή προσέγγιση μίας πιο βιώσιμης διαχείρισης των στερεών αποβλήτων, έτσι ώστε να πραγματοποιηθούν οι αλλαγές που απαιτούνται για την επίτευξη των στόχων της Ευρωπαϊκής (Οδηγία 98/2008) και της Ελληνικής Νομοθεσίας (Ν.4042), και η συμβολή στην επίτευξη των στόχων τόσο του Εθνικού όσο και του Περιφερειακού Σχεδίου Διαχείρισης Αποβλήτων. Επιπλέον, με την υλοποίηση της μονάδας κομποστοποίησης, ο Δήμος δύναται να αποφύγει/ απομειώσει την επιβάρυνση του ειδικού τέλους ταφής για τα απόβλητα που οδηγούνται για ταφή χωρίς να έχουν προηγηθεί εργασίες επεξεργασίας.
