Το έργο αφορά στην οριοθέτηση και διευθέτηση τμήματος του χειμάρρου Καστρόλακκα, στην εδαφική περιοχή του Δήμου Βισαλτίας και του Δήμου Αμφίπολης, σε συνολικό μήκος 1.850 μ, και αποσκοπεί στην αποτελεσματική προστασία των παρόχθιων καλλιεργούμενων εκτάσεων από τις πλημμύρες. Η υλοποίηση του έργου θα βελτιώσει την αντιπλημμυρική προστασία των γειτονικών ιδιοκτησιών, θα προστατεύσει τα πρανή του ρέματος από διαβρώσεις και θα αποτρέψει την περαιτέρω υποβάθμιση του ρέματος. Τα οφέλη για την τοπική κοινωνία είναι ανεκτίμητα, καθώς το έργο θα συμβάλλει στην αισθητική αναβάθμιση του τοπίου και θα βελτιώσει την ποιότητα διαβίωσης των κατοίκων της περιοχής. (Greek)
