The structure will be complementary to the other social structures of the Municipality and will also serve as a place for group gatherings of information and information to citizens on issues related to their profile. The Community Centre will receive and register the beneficiaries, with the aim of diagnosing their needs, which will then be referred to other individual bodies, as appropriate. Το Κέντρο Κοινότητας του Δήμου Αλεξανδρούπολης, καθώς και το παράρτημα Ρομά, θα λειτουργήσιουν με σκοπό να εξυπηρετούν το σύνολο των πολιτών, με προτεραιότητα στις ευπαθείς ομάδες, παρέχοντας ολιστική υποστήριξη μέσα από ένα πλέγμα υπηρεσιών που έχουν ως στόχο την καταπολέμηση της φτώχειας, την αντιμετώπιση του κοινωνικού αποκλεισμού και την επανένταξη στην αγορά εργασίας. Το παράρτημα θα εξυπηρετεί τον μειονοτικό πληθυσμό της περιοχής Τέρμα ’βαντος, όπου εντοπίζονται ιδιαίτερα αυξημένες ανάγκες. Η δομή θα λειτουργεί συμπληρωματικά με τις λοιπές κοινωνικές δομές του Δήμου και θα λειτουργεί και ως χώρος για ομαδικές συγκεντρώσεις ενημέρωσης και πληροφόρησης των πολιτών σε θέματα που άπτονται του προφίλ τους. Στο Κέντρο Κοινότητας θα γίνεται η υποδοχή και η καταγραφή των ωφελουμένων, με στόχο τη διάγνωση των αναγκών τους, οι οποίοι στη συνέχεια θα παραπέμπονται σε άλλους επιμέρους φορείς, όπως κατά περίπτωση αρμόζει. Παράλληλα, στο Κέντρο Κοινότητας θα υποβάλλονται οι αιτήσεις για το Ταμείο Ευρωπαϊκής Βοήθειας για τους Απόρους (ΤΕΒΑ), το Κοινωνικό Εισόδημα Αλληλεγγύης (ΚΕΑ), την Αντιμετώπιση της Ανθρωπιστικής Κρίσης και για οποιοδήποτε άλλο πρόγραμμα, είτε υλοποιείται από το Δήμο Αλεξανδρούπολης είτε από άλλο φορέα.
