The project concerns the development of child psychiatric services from a Mobile Mental Health Unit of the Alexandroupolis Nursing Unit of the University General Hospital of Evros. The aim is to create a framework that will allow early detection and early therapeutic intervention in children and adolescents with mental disorders, in accordance with the principles of Social Psychiatry. The ultimate goal of the project is the prevention and promotion of mental health, the improvement of the quality of life of sufferers and their caregivers, as well as the treatment of problems associated with exclusion. The activities of the Mobile Unit and the services provided will concern: 1. Early detection of children and adolescents with mental disorders. 2. Timely intervention in family and school. 3. The training of teachers and their awareness of psychosocial health. 4. The awareness of the community through actions such as information workshops on issues related to the mental health of children and adolescents. In particular, the Mobile Unit will provide: — Diagnostic assessment of children and adolescents. Visits to schools for a) detecting (screening) problems related to the Unit’s specialty, aiming at early detection and early intervention, b) therapeutic – supportive interventions for children – adolescents already monitored by the Unit; c) the awareness and education of teachers on mental health issues of children of adolescents. Special care for the elimination of the stigma caused by mental illness, through training and public awareness programmes. Cooperation with other institutions (e.g. Social Services and Child Curators) and recommendation for prevention measures and instructions in high-risk groups. (English) | |||||||||||||||

Το έργο αφορά στην ανάπτυξη παιδοψυχιατρικών υπηρεσιών από Κινητή Μονάδα Ψυχικής Υγείας της Νοσηλευτικής Μονάδας Αλεξανδρούπολης του Πανεπιστημιακού Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Έβρου. Σκοπός είναι η δημιουργία ενός πλαισίου που θα επιτρέπει την πρώιμη ανίχνευση και έγκαιρη θεραπευτική παρέμβαση σε παιδιά και εφήβους με ψυχικές διαταραχές, σύμφωνα με τις αρχές της Κοινωνικής Ψυχιατρικής. Απώτερος στόχος του έργου ειναι η πρόληψη και προαγωγή της ψυχικής υγείας, η αναβάθμιση της ποιότητας ζωής των πασχόντων και των οικογενειών-φροντιστών τους καθώς και η αντιμετώπιση προβλημάτων που συνδέονται με τον αποκλεισμό. Οι δράσεις της Κινητής Μονάδας και οι παρεχόμενες υπηρεσίες θα αφορούν: 1. Την πρώιμη ανίχνευση παιδιών και εφήβων με ψυχικές διαταραχές. 2. Την έγκαιρη παρέμβαση στην οικογένεια και το σχολείο. 3. Την επιμόρφωση των εκπαιδευτικών και την ευαισθητοποίησή τους σε θέματα ψυχοκοινωνικής υγείας. 4. Την ευαισθητοποίηση της κοινότητας με δράσεις όπως ενημερωτικές ημερίδες με θέματα που αφορούν την ψυχική υγεία παιδιών και εφήβων. Ειδικότερα, η Κινητή Μονάδα θα παρέχει: - Διαγνωστική εκτίμηση παιδιών και εφήβων. - Επισκέψεις σε σχολεία για α) την ανίχνευση (screening) προβλημάτων που άπτονται της ειδικότητας της Μονάδας, με στόχο την πρώιμη ανίχνευση και έγκαιρη παρέμβαση, β) θεραπευτικές - υποστηρικτικές παρεμβάσεις για τα παιδιά - εφήβους που ήδη παρακολουθούνται από τη Μονάδα, γ) την ευαισθητοποίηση και εκπαίδευση των εκπαιδευτικών σε θέματα ψυχικής υγείας παιδιών εφήβων. - Ειδική φροντίδα για την εξάλειψη του στίγματος που προκαλεί η ψυχική νόσος, μέσω προγραμμάτων επιμόρφωσης και ευαισθητοποίησης του κοινού. - Συνεργασία με άλλους φορείς (π.χ. Κοινωνικές Υπηρεσίες και Επιμελητές ανηλίκων) και σύσταση για μέτρα πρόληψης και οδηγίες σε ομάδες υψηλού κινδύνου. (Greek)
